Our terminal servers have a way to print remotely. However, you do not use your normal printer. The terminal servers have a special printer called TS Print Printer. It allows you to choose your local printer (like the one at your desk or in your office) to print to. This works out of the terminal server, all applications (like Excel or Outlook) and GP.

Below are a few steps that might immediately solve your problem.

Please make sure that your default printer is the TS Print Printer.
To do so:

  1. Please log into the terminal server you normally use (The icons on your desktop for SVR-TERM4 or SVR-TERM5).
  2. Once logged in, click Start > Devices and Printers. A window will open.
  3. Once the Window opens, under the Printer and Fax section locate the TS Print Printer.
  4. Right click it and hit "Set as Default Printer"

This should resolve most of your printer troubles. IF you have Excel, Outlook or other applications open, they might not immediately print. Simply close them and re-open.

"Hey! I did the above so what next?"
Once you do the above, you should be able to print remotely.

How does it work?

Once you print, the TS Print Printer will find your local printer that is either attached to your PC or in your office. A few moments after you print a window will appear with the printers in your office or at your desk. Simply select the one you want and hit OK.

Should you run into any issues or have concerns please let us know and we will remote in and assist you.
