Overview:

WiFi networks exist all around us. Some are secured and some are not. It is important that when accessing files at work networks are secured as much as they can be to thwart attackers from accessing restricted files. At Protect Plus and Imagine One Resources we hide our Wireless Networks for Increased Security. This means that the WiFi network must be accessed manually the first time it is used in order to be accessed again and again. This guide will outline how to access our secured IOR-Employee Wifi network.


Procedure:

Click on the WiFi Icon next to your clock to bring up the options menu.

Select Open Network and Sharing Center (At the bottom).

When the Network and Sharing Center Opens in a new Window, click Manage Wireless Networks.

 This will open a new window and list all of the Wireless Network information that is saved on a user’s computer. Click Add.

Once the configuration window Opens, click Manually create a Network Profile.

Enter in the information like in the below image and click next.

If done successfully, the user will be notified and can close out of all windows. Also, they will be connected to the network (given they are in range).
